Ever heard of a bad HASP key?!

Just curious if anyone had heard of a bad hasp, or dongle, or portlock key before? Can not understand for thew life of me why I am getting this error....

Hello,
As I posted in the off topic section. This error can be corrected by reinstalling the driver. An error must be able to corrupt the original. I encountered this while I was employed in Howel Mi.
