Scan probe compensation failed

I use an XCEL 7-10-7 machine with PH10MQ probe head and PCDMIS ++CAD 3.7 MR2.

Scan type: Variable Linear open, Patch Variable.

Error message:
Scan probe compensation failed!

Are there specific settings in the scan SETUP window I should have to avoid this error?
This scan does not have CAD.

Usually the only time that i have this issue is when the scan is very short..only a few points.

Are you using a SP600? TP20 on learn mode???
