  • WISH LIST

Well, I have a new item I would like to see added to Pcdmis. As part of the pattern function, I would like to be able to rotate or mirror around a point that is NOT X0Y0Z0. I know I can reset my alignment to something else, then do the rotate/mirror, then go back, but it would be much easier if you were allowed to type in the point about which to rotate/mirror.

ANOTHER WISH for inclusion in Pcdmis:
The ability to dimension a variable directly: INSERT ~ DIMENSION ~ VARIABLE ~ then select the variable to report, with the ability to tolerance and everything, instead of requiring you to create a generic feature using the variable.

I wish they would include a seat at class or throw in a CD reviewing all the latest updates with your SMA agreement. Instead of charging another $350 for an "Update to 4.0 DMIS"

Being able to set the point shere size for each program would be a graet addition. I like to set the sphere size to match the tolerance zone of a profile. Then everyone (toolmakers, die designers, customers) who look at the graphics screen printout get a visual assessment of the condition of the part. If the point sphere is 'touching' the CAD surface it's in-tolerance.

I wish they would get our sma straightened out so we can go to 3.7 mr3. Dang paperwork snafu.
And if there was a keg cooler by my cmm productivity would go way down! The room would be over crowded and there would be no place to put the parts.

How about a true "offline" seat with PC-DMIS. (and not charge $3000 for it) If I'm only using one seat at a time, what difference does it make how I use it. We have Quindos and PC-DMIS on one of our machines and it would be great to edit a PC-DMIS program while a Quindos program is running.
