Most of the time it depends on what i'm doing. If its an extra long program or i'm editing alignment in existing programs. Thats were most of mine happens. Dr watson can bite me.

Depends on how much I am using it. Sometimes I am all week on the CMM sometimes I am all week not on the CMM. My crashes are usually on long programs and always occur when I have not saved in a while.

It has been at least a month or better. The last crash I had was when I was trying copy a true position callout from one program to another.

Id say 1 to 5 times a week. I really don't think about it much. Just fire it back up and go

We have a Microexcel that crashes about 10 times a week and a Mistral that hardly ever crashes.

One of my places is ruining 3.7mr3 on a brand new computer with plenty of RAM and Quadro graphic card, and they are occasionally use small models - I rarely have any problem.
The other place is running 3.5mr2 on a 5 years old computer (with Windows NT) with GeForce and they are using huge models - and certainly I have some crashes, especially when working with graphics.

I think the correct comparison should be between versions (for ex.: I think 3.7mr3 is more stable than 3.5mr2, and 3.5mr2 is more stable than 3.2063, and I think that other versions should not be used at all (I do not know anything about 4.0)). And this comparison will be strongly affected by the hardware used by users.

                            Crashes

Lately my PC is crashing all the time. I only have 64mb grahic card and 1.8mhz processor, computer is at least 5 years old and my 18gb hd was full, now using an external drive to store progs.
My managers do not seem unduly worried when I ask for a new PC and tell them the thing could go "pop" any day now. I use big CAD models and do generate massive amounts of data when scanning.

I long for the day when the PC goes down and I cannot do their work!

Well it is more than never, but less than once a week. Since I began running 3.7 MR 3 I would guess the average is about once a month. Like the others, editing long programs seems to inspire the crash reflex in the demon.
