  • Scan filters

I attached a .jpg of a screen shot of one of my programs that scans a 4+ diameter socket. Then I filter the data. Someone from Hexagon told me to do this. Is this correct for scanning just a circle and filtering the data because I have no clue. Just getting into scanning. Everytime I start to learn about scanning I place it on the back burner, but it's here for good now since my bosses know I can at least show then somthing.

I'm fairly new to scanning also but I have never used filter sets. When I construct a circle from a scan I always select Best Fit and Remove Outliers though.
