Well I did it. I crashed the probe and broke my first one Friday afternoon. I was running a proven program and after about 70 parts it took off and went crazy. It ran right into the table braking the tip. the tip was a 1.5mm by 30mm. Luckily I was just about done so I finished what I had manually and went home for a long weekend.
Now I am back at work and writing a new program and am having trouble getting the probe to calibrate. I replaced the tip with a 2mm by 40mm and I get a message saying "Measured probe diameter error exceed the limits" . I put a different module on it thinking that the module got messed up but I am still getting the same message.
Could I have done more damage than just braking a probe tip? The shank is what broke.
Thaks for the advice.
