In previous life, I got used to a lot of Tarus functions, such as the ability to move stylus into a circle, hit a command, and the probe would move to take hits inside the circle and create the circle where it was. Obviously, the moves would be perpendicular to the hole cylinder, or planar to the top of the circle, but it would give a very close reading to where the hole or circle actually was. I would always re-run the pickup again, this time using the nominals from the first run and the location would be nearly perfect.
Does PC-DMIS have anything that works similarly, making the auto-moves to pick up the hole? Has anyone ever programmed something like that?
