  • need to add temp comp in prog

we have to measure hardened a-6 plate with
    (2) .50000" holes 5.00000" apart and we are finding
that our customer is getting a .0001 difference in true position
reading then we get this translated to + or - .000035 millioniths x and y
we need to add temp comp. and also want to print what our part sensor
    reads on our report also.
    can anyone help
    Thanks Rich

Is your machine even capable of those tolerances?

To be able to check to 0.0001", your machine must be able to check 0.00001" accurately, every time, location and repeatability.

                $37,000 for a new head

Nope "NO" crashes here ...... yea right
fortunately it has crash detection built in so when it
sees what it calls "probe head deflection" it can put the
brakes on before it does any damage

kinda like the new mercedes when it knows your gonna hit
it will adjust you seat and seatbelts for the best "crash position"
                I am serious LOL

                  we make everything from
targeting parts for an f16 fighter jet
                  to dental and spline inplants
to robots that build hard drives for computers

Can't you just do a "get temp" from the temp setup screen and call it into a comment output?

OVER THE FULL 4 ° TEMP. RANGE YOUR ONLY LOOKING AT .000096" OVER A FULL 5" PIECE.

IF YOUR BOTH IN OR NEAR THE MEAN TEMP. I THINK THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON HERE.
