Jog Box

Hi, Im fairly new to Dmis. I have only completed the basic training, so apologies if this is a silly question. Is it possible to re-programme the jog box. The PRINT button (on my box) curently works as the DONE button and the DONE button currently does nothing. I would like to change these. Is this easily done?

Some times it is possible. You need to contact the company your CMM is from. They should know

PC-DMIS will allow you to change the print button but I don't know how to change the done button.

To change "print" go to edit-preferences-machine interface setup
A window will open and you should be able to change "print" in there. You can set it to delete hit, move point, or done. Perhaps if you change yours from done to one of the other two your done button will start working?

Sorry Goodluck, I should have mentioned that I am using 3.5. In my preferences menu I only have a "CMM interface setup" option (im presuming that this is the same thing). Unfortunately there are no jog box options in there (

Its an old 2nd hand Brown & sharpe CNC. Its fairly small. Sorry I dont have any other data.

You need to get the serial number and model number off of it and call Brown and Sharpe. They will be able to help you with all the questions on what it will do and with what software
