I'm running a program for the Machine checking Gauge and I'm using the
excel sheet from Renishaw to analize the Data.the excel sheet is calculating
The Volumetric measuring performance of all the measuments.
Does anybody using this excel sheet? What's the Volumetric measuring performance that we have to hold?I know I have to ask renishaw, but I already asked them and no answer.the total volumetric error of the gauge is +/-.5um(.00002 in)So at least I have hold this .5um.What do you think?

You have to hold a value equal to the SPECS of the MACHINE you are using it on. I seriously doubt you can hold the tolerance that the gage is made to.

What you need is the volumetric spec of your CMM.

        You're RIGHT ON!

For example: Our 15-20-10 Xcel's "stated" volumetric accuracy is 20 microns. When I verify it with the checking gage it measures between 14 to 18 microns depending on where it is verified at. Our PFXcel's "stated" volumetric accuracy is 8 microns. It ranges between 3 to 6 microns when verified by the machine checking gage...
