  • Pin calcualtion w/cones

    Hello, hopefully someone else has gone through what I have and can PLEASE help me. I am trying to calculate some pin angles on a part using the cone feature. When I measure the auto cone it gives be an error saying "Unable to best fit error". Why won't the cone calculate? Is there another way to get an angle read out w/o using the cone feature? I know I could probably check two circles and trig the angle out within the program, but shouldn't there be an easier way? Thank-you!!!

    Auto-cone works best with 3 levels(I use 3 levels and 5 points). If your print does not state "included" angle and you want just the cone/2 here is how I do it...

      I'd post my method, but it is like just like James'. I use vector points sometimes and create the cone from those. This is because I need mulitple tips for accessabilty reasons.
      When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.
