Hey everyone, quick question on something I hope is alot easier then I'm making it. I wrote a program and executed it last week for a prototype part for a new customer and everything met his print(s) callouts. He didn't want any data as long as it conformed. Well...you guessed it, now he wants all the data so he and the government can spend lots of money going over if it'll work or not. Here's the rub, yes I saved everthing when the program was executed and all the data is still there. I can physically print the report to paper...all 246 pages of it if I so desire....I don't desire. The program ran for 4 hours and checks over 2300 entities. What's the easiest way to get that data out of the program in the form of a pdf or similar form for an electronic mail over? I don't have the part anymore so I can't setup or make export options under the edit window print options. Any suggestions? I know I gotta be missing something simple here.....Thanx.....(-b -)

    Open the program
Select REPORT MODE for the edit window
    Select the print option
    Print the report.

      another option

You could save stats and go into datapage and do a spreadsheet report then print to .pdf or make an excel file

Well, if you save it to Datapage, you also have the MEAS REPORT option, looks a lot like the Pcdmis report.

My boss gave me a project to stop our CMM operators from printing the data from their dail yinspections because it is costing our Engineering Dept an arm and a leg in printer cartridges.
Your "PC-Dmis to Excel dumper" might be just what I need. Then, I would focus on training our operators how to import the Excel data into our SPC software.
Unless, it is possible to get the SPC software to suck the data out of DataPage directly. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate hearing about it.

            Thanks,
            Keith
