  • SP25 and scanning

    Hi!
I'm scanning some surface to using SP25 (indifferently with module). In settings window scanning I set Cut Vector so as to one of the direct vector (i, j or k) had value "1", rest "0". When scanning is done I see one of the coordinate doesn't have this same values - dispersion is on level even 0.01mm . WHY???, if I put value "1" in one of the direct vector?

    Scanning

    A Few Things:

    1. What version are you using? 3.7 mr2 and above have a function called CAD-Comp. This feature looks at the nominals at the tangent point to the surfaces, which is not necessarily the same location as the probe location.

    2. what is the find nominals tolerance that you are using? This could explain some of the inconsistencies that you are talking about.

    3. What type of scan are you using...defined or relearn???

How is that SP25 working for you? We are looking at getting one. Does it connect to a PC card or into the controller? The reason I ask is because we have the old "World Class" style controller & Im not sure if it is compatable.
