Does anyone have a DEA machine? I just acquired a scirocco, but I am totally unfamiliar with their jog box. I have noticed that the X and y axes are opposite that of my B&S machine, but, it seems like there is something we are not doing right.

I have figured out how to make it move, which were by buttons which seemed to be hidden and unmarked, but three of these seem to do the same exact thing. I noticed that my moves are also limited to single axis movement, meaning I can't make a 45 degree move. I am thinking it is probably something I am doing wrong, but, I sure would like to get some input from someone who is familiar. I am also questioning the speed as well, I am thinking that this is supposed to run much faster than it is, but, again there is probably a button I am not engageing or something.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks guys,
    Brad

If you can, post a picture of the controller, then someone might be able to take it and label it for you. I can't help you, but this might help others.

Do you have a TU01 box with a TUTOR P controller?

        DEA SCIROCCO

Yes, the jog box only allows movement in one axis. The movement speed can be adjusted by a rheostat type knob on the jog box. The machine axis can be changed to reflect how you perfer under the machine setup option. I had this one set to normal cartesian coordinates. I have a Spectrum P Controller.

We run a DEA Omega with a TU01 jog box. The button on the left row, 2nd one down (probe tip icon) will unlock the axes and allow fast manual movement in any direction. B&S can give you info to change the x and y axis directions to what you were used to. The potentiometer knob is like volume, clockwise cranks it up...

I've got a DEA machine, but just started using it. I'm not used to it yet. I have a TU01 controller, and I hate it! I will be fighting my way through. I have used a Tarus machine previously, with a wireless controller, or an old wired one, but this one is horrid.

Is it just me or is this the day for old dead threads to come back to life. At least it appears that people are using the search function though.

Seems to happen when newbies search and think they know the answer to a question that may have already been addressed. Must be another batch back from training.
When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.
