I would like to be able to toggle on/off to have the trihedron float everytime the alignment window is opened. As it is now in 3.7 MR3, the trihedron floats for the 1st alignment in a new program but not afterwards. TIA.

Hey, how about nice, easy RTF reporting, without the need to set up 'templates' or mees around with anything, other than marking a BOX that says "Print To File (RTF)".

Many times we need to take a lot of points on parts. Perhaps only a few are out of tolerance.
If you click on the report window to show just the out of tolerance points, it would be nice if you had the option to blank points that are in tolerance.
The engineers always want to know WHERE the out of tolerance points are and the way I do it now is to list the oot points and then select them for redimensioning to get them highlighted and then do a screen dump to give to the engineer.
Hilton,
I do almost the same thing except that what I do is change to report mode and then select "show only OOT items" in the edit window layout tab. Then I can see only the oot items. I print that out. Then I make create a view incorporating however many OOT items you care for in each view. I then recall the view and do screen capture of each view and incorporate them into a "D' sized print excel spreadsheet.
use the new automated xcel report program that was developed. It has a button to show out of tol dimensions after the the dimensions are brought into the report.
the export generic function will allow the dimensions only or features or both to be exported into a txt file. But the dimensions will look something like this:
LOC1 AX:X, 0.000102, 0.000102, 0.000000
LOC1 AX:Y, 0.229857, 0.229857, 0.000000
LOC1 AX:Z, 0.703812, 0.703812, 0.000000
LOC2 AX:X, 0.000479, 0.000479, 0.000000
LOC2 AX:Y, 0.569485, 0.569485, 0.000000
LOC2 AX:Z, 0.612857, 0.612857, 0.000000
LOC3 AX:X, 0.600727, 0.600727, -0.000000
LOC3 AX:Y, 0.784097, 0.784097, -0.000000
LOC3 AX:Z, 0.608628, 0.608628, 0.000000
You would then have to add column headers or something to deciper the columns of numbers.

Anyone have an easier method?

what i do is go to edit/graphics display window/dimension color. change the 'out of tolerance (positive)' and 'out of tolerance (negative)' color to red. then make every other color blue (or green or whatever you want) and when you finish running the part in the graphics window all the points that are out will be red and the points that are in will be blue.
I want the ability to do math functions in the number areas like MasterCam. An example would be -- Auto Circle --- x = 19+.2345 which would auto calculate the number to 19.2345 for x. I use master cam on a daily basis along with PC Dmis and I keep trying to do calculations in my number fields instead of on a calculator :/
1. make ALL of the options visible when using a "pull down" arrow and get rid of the stupid slide bar on the side of it. I don't understand why they cant show all 5 of the items when the arrow is selected when only 3 or 4 show, thus hiding the last one and creating a need for another mouse move, slide it down, and another click to select it.
2 open up the numerical fields in all areas to include all the digits entered. There is nothing worse than trying to view a diameter or another value and not see it without moving the cursor with the arrow keys left or right.

When in the auto features box, would it be possible to put a comments box with option to print said comment. This would save you having to open the comments command for every feature you create that requires a description.
Hi Brian, this was added for V40 Vision and Laser, and will be coming in V4.2 for Contact. As well as textual comments, you can specify bitmaps and wave files to display/play.

SSSSSOOOOOOOOO, Wilcox is working on 4.2 already when 4.1 isn't out and 4.0 is so buggy almost no one is using it! 'Nuff said.

I think that I know what the answer is going to be, but I just wanted to double check and see if it was somehow possible. I'm using v2010 MR3. We are...
Ok, have a client that I wrote many progs for, they hire a new Quality manager. He watches a program run and notices we are only taking 4 points on some...
