  • changing cad model orientation

I have a cad model that I have imported into my Pc-Dmis program.
Someone has saved the model set at an odd angle.
when I do my alignment and hit cad=part button the model will not
sit flat with the leveling plane. Is there a way to figure out at what angle the model is set at so i can rotate the model to print?

Do a plane on top of the model with program mode. (ctrl+F4). Then evaluate the angle between that plane and the Z axis.

Go to operations tab...then Graphics display window.....then transform...This allows you to rotate your CAD model to what ever you want.

ctrl and f1 will place it in Translate mode

Hold down Ctrl and right mouse button with arrow on cad model and you can turn it any way you want. By moving the mouse around.

I assume that's in newer versions than 3.5mr2??? I don't see a transform or translate option.
