AUTO NOTCH help?

Hi all,

Hope all had at least some rest and fun over the weekend.

Can anyone walk through the auto-notch function? I have been going over the help file on it and I don't get the last step "TAKE A HIT ON THE OPEN END OF THE NOTCH"???

Am I not understand what a notch is? Again, help file defines it as a 3 sided square slot which I interpret as 1/2 a square slot. Is this correct?

Anyhow, have cad data and am running 3.5mr2. Thanks.

The last point is at the opening end of the slot or the surface that the slot is cut into.I use this all the time.It works very well.
