We have a part whose tolerance have changed. There probably isn't a way to "update" stats with the new tolerance is there? I could show a better Cpk on my parts if I could only change this tolerance.

When you change the tolerances in the program, simply send the data to Datapage and all the tolerance in Datapage will change to what you just sent. Works sweet.sigpic

Crap, I totally mis-stated what I was looking to do. It wasn't a tolerance change, it was a dimensional change. we had a depth change, and the new depth would bring all these parts into spec. I don't suppose it works for that too does it Matt?CMM Programmer

It should as long as the feature name is the same.Comment

Well, it will depend on WHAT axis you are reporting. If you are reporting an "M" (3-D distance or some such) OR XYZ axis, then YES, the nominal will update, then the measured should match. HOWEVER, if you are using T, it will not do you any good since the T is a deviation from a 3-D point in space (like for a vector point) and changing the NOMINAL of the vector point and getting a new T value and having it be good will NOT make the other T values in Datapage any good. The individual axis, yes, not a 'calculated' (for lack of a better word) axis based upon a single-point nominal. Do I have you confused yet?sigpic
