Probe deflection errors

Afternoon people. A query for your thoughts. Our Global is experiencing "mishits" and second hits inside holes as if the probe is having issues recording data. Everynow and then she attempts taking 2nd and third hits on a feature and then stops entirely and gives me probe deflection error. Does this sound like a software or hardware issue? Reason I wonder about it being software is that I can shut my system completely down, do a hard boot, rehome and calibrate and she'll run for awhile. Have cleaned modules, tp200, tips, everything. Just wondering if anyone has seen this kind of thing pop up. We're going to a SP25 scanning head system shortly but we'll still be using the ph10mq head. Also, I've been getting errors in my software (good ole 3.7 mr3) where the system locks down in the middle of me, say, calling up an auto feature menu and the menu freezes as I define the number of hits I desire as in auto circle. After a short period of idleness I get the famous "program unresponsive" flag. Have looked at this with our IT dept. and believe the machine and computer are fighting over memory. That's being addressed. Anyway if anyone's seen some of these "irritants" I'd appreciate any and all ways you dealt with it. Thanx as always.
P.S. When we get the new scanning heads for 3 of our machines they're (management) say we'll be going to PCDMIS 2012. Any feedback on it yet?

fly mode? I've heard that fly mode can mess up small hole measurements.

The probe issue could be corrupt probe files. Rebuild them with a new name. As far as the memory issue, I find that I have to cleanup and defrag my PC quite often, then the demon runs fine.

!st off 2012 isnt out for general release yet.
Also you will have to upgrade your pcs for use with sp25 and windows7 if you want to upgrade pcdmis as 3.7 wont run on win7.
The issue you are having sounds like on I had a while ago after installing a new graphics card and drivers in one of the workshop (3.7mr3 and xp) cmms.
I had to install an older set of drivers that worked better with the demon to get it to stop hanging and crashing.
The newer drivers were causing memory allocation issues.
