I'm close to buying one of these, with the Renishaw TP20. The demo I saw at Westec was impressive. I currently have a small B&S MicroVal running QC5000. I need to measure surfaces to +/-.00025". I hope to be able to use the vision and probe together in programs. How important is the training? It sure is spendy! I see the tutorial will get me going, but I'd like to hear your experiences with learning this machine/software. And, did anyone compare this unit to the RAM and their eBx software.

Thanks for all guidance offered.

Doesn't anyone here use one of these, or am I breaking new ground?

There should be some people on here to comment, there's hundreds out there worldwide.

I'm not sure about 2 1/2 tenths. That seems aweful tight. I'm still not 100% confident in the one I use.
