New one on me. In attempting to open a clients database, I get, "Database User Error :-6
Invalid DB address
Can anyone tell me if this is corrupt, or suggest a way to recover, or, is it Bye bye database forever ?

Well, I assume that you have tried to open it by searching for it? OR, are they using a NEWER version than you? Can THEY open it?

I can't remember the files I delete when this happened it has been so long since I've used Datapage. May try killing the k01 files. Look for a bunch of the same file types and kill them (save 'em in case I am wrong).

VISTA.TAF and LOCKMGR.DBL might be the files you are thinking of.

DELETE ALL FILES IN THE DATABASE DIRECTORY WITH THE FOLLOWING EXTENSIONS
.dbl
.dbu
.dbx
.log
.taf
you will be left with 8 files which have the following extentions.
.k01
.k02
.d01
.d02
.d03
.d04
.d05
.dbd

Thanks for your valiant efforts guys...it seems they are shot.
Must get to cause of this though. I have very rarely seen this kind of corruption, hard to pin point it, thats for sure. I trudge on...glad its not my database...heheh

I had a database corruption that was never recovered from. Sent it to B&S and everything. They couldn't get it figured out either. I basically lost it. Good luck, I hope that is not the case here.
