New to PC-Dmis - would like to be able to turn off & on the probe to change probes manually like MeasureMax and LK Cmes,LK Dmis & Studio. Is there a pull down for this?

For manual probe changes I use the "Probe Enable" button on the jog box to disable the probe while the change is being made. After the change your program will need to know you have made the change. If you are programming choose the new probe from the pull down window in the top left of the screen. If you are executing an existing program there should be a popup telling you to change the probe, after the change just click ok. HTH

That is only going to work if you have the B&S box. We are using the Sheffield control box. I am looking for a pull down or code to turn off the probe.

If you load a new probe file, doesnt it ask you to manually load a new probe. I do know that it would cause a fatal error on the Sheffields/PCDMIS if you simply removed the probe module - it would crash PCDMIS and the controller, it was a pretty hard core shutdown.
This may have been fixed in later version but I dont now.

No pcdims does not crash but you recieves an legal touch warning. MMX gave you an code to [TN]enable & [TF] disable probe when changing probes. Other languges also allowed for this in the code.

Well, if you insert the loadprobe command (like Wes was talking about), you can put your cursor on that line, press ctrl+e and it will prompt you to change the probe. After you click ok, it will stop execution.

his problem is ...when he tries to change the probe it thinks it probed something regardless of the change probe command.....it still probes unless you disable the probe. i have forgotten to disable at the prompt a few times and the machine started going after a few beeps during change.
