PC-DMIS error must close?

I keep getting an error that says "pc-dmis has encountered and error and must close" when I start PC-DMIS with the Roemer. I have tried restarting the computer (multiple times), and reloading pc dmis. I can start it and home the unit out but as soon as I create a program or try to open an existing one it boots me out. We have only had the unit for two weeks. I had this problem before and tech support told me to reload the software which worked for about 1 day and now I'm back to this. I've been using pc-dmis on the cmm for years so this one has me scratching my noggin!!

It sounds like your getting an interface error. When PC-Dmis loses communication with the machine controller it kicks out like that. I have a Romer Infinite arm that when the battery in it gets lower then 75% it starts getting errors in PC-Dmis. I suspect it has a marginal comm board that is causing the problem.

I have the same arm and at about 80% for me I start getting the error window. But one thing nice you can still save your work!
