I usually make 4 offset points, then make a plane from the 4 points

Creating an offset plane or moving a plane 31mm?

Can you create a generic plane?
Offset from the measured plane's actual location and vector.

Make an extra alignment using that plane. Translate or move your alignment the direction you want, 31mm. Create a new plane at that alignment. Recall old alignment. New plane is there to be uses. Just an idea.

I think that would work. You would have to level to the plane so you can offset parallel though.

The 4 points worked the best for me. Thanks all

I'm having trouble with determining the radius of a cylinder cut by 2 non-perpendicular plane, how can I measure it with just only 6 points? I can't discover the mathematical fundamentals of that measurement, anyone can explain me? Thank you!
