I recently installed Datapage on our computer. Called for the registration activation code and everything (I've used it before on another CMM as well), and set it up in my program to use. When I finish running the part, for whatever reason, it doesn't automatically send the Stats to datapage. I actually have to go to my PC Dimis 4.2 folder in My Computer and click DPUPDATE.EXE everytime to get it to send my stats to Datapage. Any suggestions?

You may have to re-install Pcdmis, I seem to remember that asks if Datapage is installed, at least, it USED to, it might be some automatic thing now and does all it's setup based on what it finds on the system.

OR, you could TRY putting the UPDATE command at the end of the program, then it will automatically send the data to Datapage without a prompt (Do you want to update bla bla bla).

What's the code for the update command? If I were to re-install PC Dimis, would I lose any of my current programs?

I would try the UPDATE first, MUCH easier.

Simply place the cursor AFTER the last dimension in the program, the do INSERT ~ STATISTICS ~ STAT COMMAND then for the stat option, mark the UPDATE and OK.

Oh yeah, duh. I didn't realize that was it's function.

That did work, by the way, just for anybody else that has that problem in the future. In fact, it doesn't even prompt me to do it, it just does it automatically.

Yep, that is all it is for. Pcdmis SHOUD ask you if that command is NOT in the program, if it IS IN the program, it should be an automatic thing. I DO think it is because DP was installed AFTER Pcdmis. I think when you do your next update, this issue will go away.

You could also check in the Edit/Preferences/Setup (or F5), Warnings, to see if there is some sort of default to "NO" for the Do you want to update the database now?

In the Edit, Preferences, Setup menu, under the Dimension Tab, there's a checkbox for "ALWAYS save Stats to file." That also works.
