 From what I have read, the Nvida Quadra FX 3000, will work with 4.0 without problems, what are any other graphics cards that people are using on 4.0. We have 3 CMM's to worry about, 1 runs a 3dlabs Oxygen VX1, the other a Nvida Quadra FX 500, the last one a Nvida GeForce 6600. I know that atleast one of them will have to be relaced to run 4.0.....The price of the Quadro is MUCH higher than the GeForce...a 256 card runs $1700, 128 $370 from my quick search.

High graphics like Dmis is a delicate balance. "How big are the seams?" is the best question to solve. More graphics memory = less tasking on the processor memory. How much? Same as always more=better.
Just remember, all the vid card glitches don't show up front.

When they bought my new confuser a couple years back, they basically got the same machine that was going into the cad design group. Figured I was using some of the same software that the designers were/are using, so I'd better have the same system. NVIDIA Quadro vid card; i ferget the memory--256 I think. Yeah, it wasn't cheap, but it does one **** of a nice job.
